Can I Tempt You With Something New?

The best thing about being a writer is meeting and chatting with readers. Every month in my newsletter, I poll the readers on different topics from what kind of covers they like best to their favorite cranberry sauce. I love getting the opportunity to chat with them when they reply to the newsletter. I don’t have an assistant, so I personally respond to EVERY single one! But it saddens me that we only get the chance to chat once a month, so I’ve created an exclusive K.M. Fawcett Readers Group in Facebook. Now we hang out and have fun whenever we want. Come join us! Don’t worry, our community isn’t only about me. The goal is to make this an engaging place to escape, relax, and have a great time chatting about whatever comes to mind: books, TV, movies, pets, hobbies, martial arts, and…well, you get the idea! I want

Wilde Treasures is a Finalist…Again!

WILDE TREASURES is a finalist in another contest – the Georgia Romance Writers Maggie Awards. Woot! Winners will be announced in October. But to be honest, it’s not about winning for me (though that would be freaking awesome). I’m just thrilled that people are enjoying my books, and I admit I like the validation that my writing is at a certain level. Now, if only I can figure out how to better market and sell them! 🙂 If you haven’t given Wilde Treasures a read yet, here’s the link. Rick McKinnon is on the hunt for booty…pirate booty, that is. When the sexy fortune hunter gets stuck inside Willow Wilde’s 200-year-old well, unlucky-in-love Willow gets swept into his search for centuries-old treasure sure to solve her money woes and add to her man troubles. But what starts as an adventure chasing clues through her small town quickly turns into a

Wilde Treasures is a Finalist!

I’m super excited! WILDE TREASURES is a finalist in the North Texas Romance Writers Carolyn Readers Choice Award Contest in the Contemporary Romance – Med/ High Heat Category. (That’s a mouthful. Ha!) Wilde Treasures is the same book that was voted Book of the Month on Long & Short Reviews in February. Have you read it yet? Well, why not? Ha! It was a super fun story to write. I love these characters. As one reviewer put it, “This book is what we’d get if “National Treasure” got the Hallmark movie treatment but kept in the spicy parts!” Winners will be notified in June. Rick McKinnon is on the hunt for booty… …pirate booty, that is. With a week left to find the trove before his mafia boss investor busts kneecaps, Rick discovers the chest’s location is in a 200-year-old well on private property. Unfortunately, claustrophobic Rick gets stuck. The

Wilde In Love is an award-winning book!

WILDE IN LOVE won first place in the NJ Romance Writers’ Golden Leaf Contest in the Contemporary Romance: Short category (40-60,000 words). I am beyond thrilled—especially since my editor and a beta reader both informed me the story needed a major rewrite…two weeks before release day! Needless to say, I was upset. I didn’t want to disappoint you all with a problematic story, so I hunkered down and worked 18-23 hour days for those two weeks to rewrite the second half of the book. Thankfully, I made the release deadline by just a few hours with a much better story. Isn’t the award beautiful? And it has my name and the book title on it! I just can’t get over it. I am honored that WILDE IN LOVE received this distinguished award (my first writing award!). Thank you NJRW! And thank you readers for allowing me to share my adventures

Wilde Treasures has a new look!

Here’s the story behind WILDE TREASURES’ new cover. Though I like the original cover (photo on the right), it felt a little busy and hard to read–the title goes across the hair, there is a bright blue strap that doesn’t belong to anything, and the pink polka dots are distracting. And since the map doesn’t look like a treasure map, I felt this cover didn’t truly convey a treasure hunt story. Searching through pages and pages of stock images didn’t yield a better picture, so I decided to do my own photoshoot with the help of my dancer/ actor daughter in front of the camera and my amateur-photographer mother behind it. Both were super excited to join me in the project. Here is the picture of my daughter Julie we liked best from the photo shoot. There was just one problem, though. The eye goes to the model and not

And thank you, readers, for taking a break from your busy lives to sit back, relax, and enjoy a Wilde romance with me. ~ But that’s not all… Another Candlewood Falls novel, TAKING ROOT by Stacey Wilk, is a double finalist in the “Mid-Contemporary” category (60,000-80,000 words) AND “Best Book By A New Jersey Romance Author” category. Congratulations, Stacey! Keep your fingers crossed for Stacey and me. Winners will be notified in December.

We Have a Release Date!

Happy New Year! My third book in the Candlewood Falls shared world series has a release date of April 6th. The title is WILDE IN LOVE and it’s about romance writer Brielle Wilde and stuntman Luke Sheridan. We’re working on a cover and a pre-order link. As soon as I have those, I’ll let you know. Here is the blurb: Bridesmaid and romance writer Brielle Wilde is determined to prove she’s brave enough to win the heart of her crush at an adventure wedding. But when timid Brielle chickens out of the first activity, she engages the help of the most fearless person she knows—widower Luke Sheridan, the bride’s sexy older brother. Taking risks is easy for stuntman Luke Sheridan…except when it comes to his heart. When he agrees to coach sweet, quirky, and tempting-as-hell Brielle to face her fears, she sparks a desire he never imagined he’d feel again.
